I am so grateful for my time spent on Bisevo. Davor is a wonderful host - he will always go the extra mile, and has a big-hearted hospitality which makes you feel at home immediately. His home made food is excellent, and the atmosphere is one of celebration. If you love adventure, the smell of pine wood and the sound of crickets this place is for you. If you want to swim in clear waters, rest in a shaded hammock, walk through rugged hilly paths, enjoy beautiful views, climb over rocks, explore deserted villages and find joy in nature, you will be in heaven here. This island is magical and for those who are happy with a more rustic lifestyle this is ideal for you. I would recommend it highly to anyone with a love of nature and an open mind... It was a dream come true for me - thank you Davor.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 6 nights and would have to say that it was absolutely perfect for the two of us. We were looking for somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds where we could relax and enjoy the beautiful Adriatic. Davor’s place absolutely hit the nail on the head. From the second we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome and it was very clear that the quality of our stay was the number one priority.
We decided to take the option of having our meals prepared for us daily and honestly were blown away by how delicious it all was. All dietary requirements were catered for which can often be a worry on holiday. The food was amazing!
The island itself was absolutely stunning and the location of Davor’s place gave us a beautiful beach that we had to ourselves a lot of the time. The accommodation was really cool and had loads of little personal touches that made it feel really relaxed and unique. The island is home to the famous blue cave which does get very very busy but as Davor’s place is on the other side of the island the idyllic atmosphere is in no way spoiled.
The island is pretty remote but can be easily reached by either the local passenger line or private hire speedboats. The local passenger line is the cheaper option but runs a fairly limited service due to the small size of the island so we would definitely recommend checking the timetable before you go.
Literally cannot recommend this place highly enough and we really hope we’ll be back sometime soon!

If you want to stay on an extraordinary place you have to come to the cottages of Davor on the island bisevo.
The fragrance of herbs is wonderful. You are busy with watching the birds, the spiders wooving their wonderful nets, you listen tot he sound of nature.
The cottages are a wonderful place for sleeping like a littel baby- it´s quiet, but you can hear the sea, the waves and the cicadas.
It´s just a short way for swimming or laying on the cliffs.
Davor is an excellent cook. We had a rich breakfast every morning and great dinner.
We did´nt miss anything

Davor is a super relaxed guy with an incredible glamping place on the hill! The sunsets were to die for and the beaches were beautiful. It's not as hard to get to once you get your head around the boat timings and we had a lovely relaxing stay.

"Unknown paradise"
If you are looking for a place were you can be in a full contact with nature, away from the tourist track and in harmony with local culture and environment, than you want to come here ! Next to the eco shelters that provide you with nice toilette (your own), very comfortable bad and terrace, you have a beach from dreams and a restaurant-kitchen run by the owner.
The beach is fantastic and the very little village never get crowded so you are always experiencing this intimate atmosphere. If suddenly during your stay you wish a bit of a crowd and a restaurant you can always walk 15 minuts to a bay Porat next to this one, and you will have your portion of "civilization" after which you will so much more appreciate the isolation the current place gives you.
The island is not to large so any day you want you can organize some tracking to some cave in another part of island. You can have a lovely dinner in the village on top of the island, where you can optionally have a dinner in case you want some more civilization.
But generally speaking you will never want to leave this place, because it is hard to find the sunsets alike these ones and wright from your shelter ! Beyond all that I must say the host of this place do everything with his own hands and mind and there are amazingly wonderful people that will organize whatever you need !
I wish I could come back as soon as possible !
Do not hesitate, this is top Croatian destination !
“A great experience!”

Oum Sha-In is not so easy to reach, but that's why it is a rare place to stay, relax and feel connected to amazing nature. It’s a special place where you can experience the meaning of downshifting lifestyle.
We stayed there for three nights and reached Salbunara Bay in Bisevo by a ferry leaving from the port of Komize (Vis Island) at 8 am. We brought trekking shoes, hat, lamps, mosquito repellent and some food, mostly had lunch in Porat Bay (where you can find two restaurants and a beach bar).
Breakfast was included in the price and for dinner we had delicious fish or vegetarian dishes at Davor's (he's a great cook!).
During the day we relaxed on the beach and hiked with other guests and volunteers in the island to reach caves and the top of the mountains island, where there’s a family run farm and an old man selling wine and jams.
This holiday has been a great experience as we took a break from stressful daily routine, technology and had the chance to meet lovely people, amazing nature, romantic landscapes and collect some good energy to save carefully for winter days.
We are looking forward to go back to Bisevo! <3
"This is a remarkable location."
Bisa, the eco-lodge run by Davor is one of the most peaceful, beautiful and quiet places that we have ever experienced.
The view from our lodge of the sunset and pristine bay on Bisevo Island was amazing. We were sorry that we did not have more time there and hope to return. The living situation in the lodges is comfortable but very simple, with no electricity, (just solar lights), and no running water or flush toilet. So not for people who need those luxuries.
There was a very friendly atmosphere in the main house/restaurant and we quickly got to know the other guests who were lovely people. Our children had a great time, quickly bonding with all the other kids who were staying.
We knew nothing about the place before we arrived and it would have been good to have had a bit more information available. (We arrived with inappropriate heavy suitcases which were difficult to get to the lodge along the scenic small narrow path that leads there.) We also had been concerned about the one negative review we had seen on this site, but our experience was the opposite. Davor was was extremely helpful with all the arrangements, both with getting over to island (when there were difficulties with sea conditions for the journey) and for the return. The island itself is small and beautiful, though there is a rather hectic tourist scene on the opposite side of the island with loads of people arriving for trips to the Blue Cave. Bisa is on the other side and they also offered trips to some of the many other caves on the island. In general- a remarkable, unusual, special place to stay for those who like beautiful places with a bit of an alternative approach and have a sense of adventure.
We loved it.
